Dad Kills His 4-Year-Old Son and Then Himself Hours before Mom Asked for a Restraining Order against

A father made the headlines when he killed his 4-year-old son and committed suicide. The incident was said to have happened some hours before the child's mother asked for a restraining order against him.

The family of Greyson Martin Kessler grief as Fort Lauderdale police confirmed the 4-year-old's death. Authorities said investigations have revealed that the boy's Father, John Stacey, killed his son before committing suicide.

This tragic event took place the same day his mother, Alison Kessler, tried to get Greyson away from his father and filed for an emergency child pick-up which she was denied.

According to Allison's attorney, Stacey picked up the little boy on Wednesday, and based on investigations; the murder-suicide happened on Thursday. Stacey had also sent several concerning texts to the boy's mother, which she reported.

A San Francisco resident Stephen O'Loughlin shot himself and his 9-year-old son Pierce O'Loughlin.

On the Gofundme page opened to help cover funeral and legal expenses, people supported and condoled the grieving mom. A person identified as Judy Mora wrote in the comment section:

"Ali, I'm sorry for your unimaginable loss. Greyson was an awesome joy to the world…."

On May 20, Alison requested an injunction against Stacey because of the threatening text messages he sent to her. The mother also informed the court that Stacey was a former member of "The Moonies," a cult.

She told the court that he hadn't received any form of treatment or therapy for the PTSD he suffered from being a member. She claimed that he also created a fake social media account to reach and harass her and her friends.

The mother stated in her petition that the boy's father was mentally unstable, and his unpredictable behavior was increasing rapidly. It was getting her concerned about her and her child's safety.

However, the domestic-violence injunction was denied by the judge, who stated that she failed to mention the actions of the respondent who indicated domestic violence under Florida Statute.

A San Francisco resident Stephen O'Loughlin also murdered his 9-year-old son Pierce O'Loughlin then killed himself. The police discovered their bodies, who were sent to check on the father as the boy had failed to show up at school.

O'Loughlin, 45, and the boy's mother, Lesley Hu, had a custody battle over their son before this tragic incident, and Pierce's mother was seeking sole custody of her boy.
