Alyssa Milano Insists Shell Breastfeed Until Daughter Is 6 Pic

Publish date: 2024-09-29

Alyssa Milano is fed up with the online backlash when it comes to her breastfeeding pictures -- as she should be. The actress opened about the hypocrisy surrounding women who expose their nipples in the media and revealed that she will breastfeed her daughter until she's 6! Alyssa Milano, 42, is no stranger to social media backlash. The gorgeous mother of two, has spoken out on the huge issue of mother's feeling shunned for breastfeeding their children, whether in public or on social media.

Alyssa is known for her amazing motherly confidence when it comes to posting breastfeeding pics on social media, but she’s tired of hearing others opinions surrounding it. The mother of two opened up about the issues surrounding “nipples in the media.”

She took the opportunity to talk with Entertainment Tonight about how the 2015 VMAs showcased a whole lot of skin, and questioned why her breastfeeding photos are treated differently. Fingers point to this year’s nearly nude host Miley Cyrus, who flaunted her goods all over the stage, yet Alyssa feels she isn’t given the same respect. “Everyone’s fine with her nipples being out, but if I post a picture of me breastfeeding it’s like, you know, craziness.”

She also added, “I don’t care. I’m going to keep breastfeeding, maybe even until [Elizabella is] 6!” But she doesn’t understand the hypocrisy. “Everyone’s fine with her [Miley’s] nipples being out,” she told the outlet, “I think people are more comfortable sexualizing breasts than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human.”

Good for her! She should be able to share as many pictures of herself feeding her precious daughter. She recently shared the sweetest birthday post for her daughter, Elizabella, which came with a candid shot of her feeding her baby girl right after she was born. She captioned the snap, “Happy Birthday, my beautiful Elizabella. You’ve taught me that my heart has no end. You were the missing piece to my soul. Thank you for choosing me.”
