Selena Gomez revealed that she is launching a trendy cookware brand Our Place, which includes a pot, pan, knife trio, drinking glasses, main plates and side plates in an electric blue and a vivid, pinkish-red shade on Thursday.

After three seasons of displaying her cooking skills on HBO Max’s hit cooking show Selena + Chef, the 29-year-old pop star excited her 318million Instagram followers with the news by sharing photos of herself in the kitchen.

‘It’s a celebration of all ways we cook- as beginners or experts, perfectly or imperfectly, messily and joyously. Our Place is immigrant and women-owned, rooted in building a bigger table,’ the Only Murders in the Building actress captioned a slideshow of images of herself using a $165 berry pink pot from her collection.

In one image, Gomez can be seen rocking a green minidress, gold ‘Selena’ necklace and matching hoop earrings as she prepared an empanada on her stove and smiled directly at the camera.

Another showed her rocking a frilly pink and red polka-dot dress looking down as she stood in front of her counter seemingly in the middle of whipping up something delicious.

In November, HBO Max announced that Selena + Chef had been renewed for a fourth season, set to be released some time this year.

The show initially premiered last August and has been a hit with viewers ever since its inception amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Development on the show was initially announced last year when an order for ten episodes was given by the streaming platform.

Executive producer Aaron Saidman spoke about the initial idea for the program during an interview with Salon, where he noted that the singer’s period of quarantine saw her cooking for herself much more frequently.

‘Selena found herself at home more than ever and found herself in the kitchen, specifically, more than she ever thought and developed a desire to know how to be better in the kitchen,’ he said.

The producer also expressed that the show’s crew was dedicated to finding qualified professionals to guide the singer through each episode.

‘We wanted to make sure that we were getting great talent and great master chefs, something that was important for Selena and the viewer to get the best possible instruction,’ he said.

Saidman also noted that the performer was incredibly open about not being the most experienced cook, which served to strengthen the program.

‘Selena was very gracious in allowing her flaws in the kitchen to be on display. I do think it’s a really humanizing element of the series,’ he stated.
