BBC: Katty Kay Illness- Health Update
Katty Kay, a BBC news presenter, was sick with the flu and felt awful for missing work. However, this occurred in 2017, not recently.
"Getting out of bed to refill my water glass requires more physical work than I normally put in in a week. My bed has vanished behind a heap of filthy used tissues," she stated with BBC.
"I appear, feel, and sound repulsive. I am repulsive. My doctor has diagnosed me with bronchitis, flu, and bronchitis, or flu plus an infection."

"That sounds moderate in comparison to how I feel. And I must admit that I was expecting a more dramatic diagnosis if only to alleviate my guilt."
She stated that she has always taken satisfaction in believing that nearly no one, especially a news reporter, is indispensable.
But we can't help but feel bad about being unwell.
"It's a stupid feature of modern professional life that we can't just be ill and then beat ourselves up over it," she added.
We become ill, after all. We are human, and this is part of our situation.
However, she is currently in a healthy state and making her comeback with BBC as US special correspondent.
